Homework is a waste of time!
After a long day at school, most students would just want to relax and watch TV or even go to an activity or program. We can't do that if there's a bunch of homework waiting to be finished. Homework is a waste of time! Students should have more time to have fun after school!
After school, students might have a soccer game or piano lessons. They can't enjoy it with the fact that they have homework to finish as soon as they get home. Therefore, the programs, or activities, can end really late, moreover when they get home, they might be too tired to finish the homework. Furthermore, the homework could take a long time. As a result, the students will end up going to bed late. Consequently, that can effect they're grade since they would be too tired.
Everyone knows that homework has to do with what you learned in class. Why do we have to go over the same things again? What if we already understand the lesson? Those are definitely questions that teachers should think about before giving us homework. Above all, students can be losing sleep because they're doing homework on things they have already done before! This must come to end!
Lastly, students might have younger siblings to look after while one of their parents for the family and the other is working late. It would be really tiring to babysit and do homework at the same time, especially if there's a lot of it!
Billy Joel once said "If you are not doing something you love, you are wasting your time!" We have to give up things that are important to us just for homework. This is damaging our freedom!

Homework is a waste of time
Why don't kids go outside to play? Why do kids always ask for more sleep whenever mom or dad wakes them up in the morning? At last, why don't kids spend time with their family? Sure, there are a lot of
answers to these questions, but the main one is Homework! Homework is a waste of time. I understand that homework improves our grade but we can't do a good job if we're not alert and awake.
"If students stay up late to do homework they won't get the 10-11 hours of sleep they need to function and do well in school" said John .T. Parents do not like it when they have to attempt to wake their children 5 times before they become alert. This is because the children are tired. Less sleep is bad for the health of a growing child. More work, all together with their social life and the crisis at home are very stressful. Stress is a very dangerous dilemma to have at times.
Aside from stress and lack of sleep, exercise is another benefit that is taken away by homework. Parents say that kids do not get enough exercise. Clearly, they have no idea that the cause of this predicament is homework. Everyone thinks that it's because of television and time constantly spent on the Internet, but I think it is the homework. With too much work, playing outside is not an alternative. Exercise is an important asset to our health and also is Vitamin D from the sun.
Parents value the knowledge and education their children acquire from school, but the y value family time more. They argue that they don't see, talk or spend time with their kids. It may be because they work too much or because the kids have too many assignments. Although, they have so much work they try to make time for their kids. If that little time is not used, because the children are too busy with homework, the
parents feel that all they did was for nothing. It is sad when you do a deed that becomes a waste in the end.
Therefore, if homework is no more assigned, kids will exercise more. Parents will get their family time and sleep would finally be enjoyed. All this would be accomplished because of the abandonment of homework.
Moreover, homework counts as about 60% of your grade. You can still achieve that 60% from tests and quizzes. Not withstanding the fact that you can study before the tests.

Homework isn't a waste of time
Homework is defiantly not a waste of time. Studies shown homework can make you smarter and more successful in life. A wise man once said "were doing our homework to make sure we're prepared." This quote is in fact true. In life there will be many obstacles in front of you and some you might have trouble getting through. So this is why being prepared can help you make life easier. One of the main essentials to
make life easier is something called homework.
Homework improves your skills at a certain subject you might not be doing well at. For example, a student might be failing a subject, like language. This student can improve their grade by studying and reviewing homework to get a better understanding of things. Homework can give less stress and more confidence in class while doing work, especially tests. Homework is shown to reduce the risk of failing atest.
Homework prevents student from wasting their night watching TV, playing computer games etc. homework gives students an effective way to spend their school nights. It helps exercise your brain and
refreshes it with brand new information you might need for after.
Also, homework helps your remember what you've learned at school during the previous day. This is also a great way to get students more focused in school and tests. Instead of trying to beat level 10 on a
game, or watching the newest episode on your favourite TV show you can study for a better future.
Homework is a very important part of education, and helps students review on what they've learned at school so far. Just as I said in my first paragraph, homework can improve your skills at any subject you
have trouble with.
Homework allows students to work independently. It allows students to try and figure out on their own on how to work specific homework problems. It also shows teachers how the student understands each
subject. It helps students become more independent when they got older and get a job so they don't have to rely on other people to help them.
"Success doesn't come to you, you go to it." "What doesn't kill you makes you stronger." "The difference between school and life: In school, you're taught a lesson and then given a test. In life, you're given a test that teaches you a lesson." All these quotes are about success and how homework is an essential key to life that can help yousucceed. I'm pretty sure there will be reasons against my opinions but
if I could sum this all up I'd say: Homework is not a waste of time.

Homework is not a waste of time
I honestly believe that homework is definitely not a waste of time. Homework is the only thing that allows children to be able to concentrate on their school studies at home. Homework also allows children to spend more time with their parents and guardians, while also discussing what they have been learning during school hours.
First of all if students are bored and have nothing to do at home they would be tempted to surf the internet or watch Television. Therefore as a distraction, if students had homework to complete they would not be able to do any of these unnecessary things since they would have no time. As a result students would not be ruining their superior eyesight and wasting their precious time. Instead they would be doing something very useful, using their time wisely and also learning something NEW every second!
Second of all, I certainly understand that at the end of the school day children are eager to go home and take a rest from all the tiring school work they have been completing. Moreover, if students do not review what they have learnt the previous days they would easily be able to forget all the important lessons they have learnt at school. This leads to a very unsatisfying grade level as well as unsatisfied parents and guardians. Daisy Fuentes has clearly quoted "You have got to pay attention, you have got to study and you have to do your homework. You have to score higher than everybody else, because at the end your education will back you up." This means that homework and studies will always have your back when nobody else does because education is your future and your life. Do you think that without homework the students would achieve something constructive in life?
Third of all, homework prepares students for the next upcoming school day. For an example, Students will be learning addition in math at school tomorrow. So, on the previous day if their teacher gives the students an addition worksheet to complete for the tonight, the students would be unbelievably and incredibly prepared for the next day's essential addition lesson.
Finally, I think that homework not only teases student's brains and lets students think a lot more sharply but, it also helps their brains to understand much more efficiently, professionally and clearly. Homework also helps their brains to understand the problem solving method more easily as they go. This is why I believe that homework is definitely not a waste of valuable time. Children SHALL defiantly have homework to help them concentrate in school and not lack off with their studies.

Homework is not a waste of time
Homework is not a waste of time, it's actually a hero! Yes it is boring and not amusing but without homework we cannot have an amazing future to build on. Are you sure homework is a waste of time? With homework we get to expand are learning abilities. Homework makes us get marks for what we learned. It helps us to do better in subjects. Another reason homework is great is because it gets you ready for big tests. Sometimes students also forget what they learned last year, but homework makes you have a light review on what you did last year.
Ever wonder how Sydney Crosby is great at hockey; it is because he practices very hard. Like that homework is practice on what we learned each day. This practice helps us reach our goals like getting good
grades on your report card. A world without homework is world without practice.
Homework is a helping hand for us to get that great future job. It's not fun but it's all worth it at the end. Homework helps us build our great future. The homework given today is the future of tomorrow.

I think is waste time because everybody goes to school to learn and when you come home we are suppose to relax and spend time with are family because the next day are parents have to work and we don't get to see are parents so why do have to come home and do more work that was just taken up in class.
When we go to school we learn lots of neat things and get more experience but when we come home we should be sleeping or getting rest up for the next school day. At home we have to do chores making dinner helping our grandparents but we have no time to do that because we have homework.
Another reason is that we have to work hours and hours on are homework it may be hard then we have ask are parents for help and the parents may come home and had a bad day at work and they build up more stress by trying to help you with your homework or sometimes the parents might just do the work for you and you will not learn anything.

Homework is not a waste of time!
BY: Victoria
Is homework really a waste of time or is it what makes us do the things we can today? If you think about it, by doing homework it gives us more knowledge to go far in life. Furthermore, it is very important
to complete all assignments learned in class through homework. By having homework, it helps us to prepare for pop quizzes, tests, and to complete all school assignments. By doing that, I will not fail. For example: when I got a good grade on my math test, it was because I did my homework the day before. Doing homework is like studying every day. This is why homework is good for pop quizzes and tests. Homework is not a waste of time because students learn and understand what we learned in class better by having to read and do it again. My teacher always said "Everything we learn in class will come back to haunt us in the next chapter" meaning we need to practice these methods at home.
Homework is not a waste of time because by understanding the work it gives us more courage to participate more in class and by doing that, we will get better grades. For example: by doing homework, I have learnt many different ways from my parents and teachers to solve problems with a clear understanding. This will boost my self- esteem up and make me want to do better each time, not only does this help me but it also teaches my parents too.
This essay is proof that homework is not a waste of time because I would have never finished this in class. After doing this essay, I have noticed that homework is very important in many different ways.

LENT
Do you know what lent is?
Lent is a time for us Catholics to clean out all of our sins and to make our soul pure. To do that we should fast, we should give alms, and we should pray. Surely we Catholics pray all the time, but lent is the main time to pray to Jesus for saving us from our sins. Fasting is when we give up something we very much like for 6 weeks or 40 days. We do it to prove that we are strong like Jesus when he was in the desert without no food or water. For lent I gave up meat and also candy because I very much like it. Alms giving is when people give, to help someone or just to give out of the kindness of our hearts. On special occasions like Christian holidays my family and I make lots of food to feed the poor.

Do you think we should get homework or not? Well as a result more kids in Cardinal Leger understand more of what they learn in class by getting homework. Homework is good to have because it is like practise for the next day. Also homework shows your teacher that you're capable of finishing it in the time given.
Homework is not a waste of time because you would understand what you learned at school or at least make it more clear for yourself. Also homework is not a waste of time because if you didn't understand much at school, you would get more help by practising by doing your homework. If you don't really understand your homework you should skip the question and move on so you could finish the other questions. Doing more of the same work usually gets your mind back but if it still doesn't you bring it the next day to school and ask your teacher for help.
Homework is not a waste of time because if you're kind of unsure about something you're getting taut at school. When you get homework your mind gets back into what you were learning and you start understanding more. However more people would have more of an understanding of what their teacher is trying to teach.
Homework is not a waste of time because it would show if you're responsible to work by yourself and to make sure you that you finish. It would prove to your teacher that you're capable of finishing you're by the next day or by the time given. Also it shows that you use your time wisely and that you don't talk a lot and focus.
Now if you understand why homework is not a waste of time you should always do it and complete it because it will help you learn better and easier. Quote by Ms. Babb "if you don't finish your work it becomes a zero. Homework isn't just because your teacher has nothing better to do, it's so they know that you understand what to do.
Homework is a waste of time.
It's not that I loved homework but I loved free time more. I believe homework is a waste of time because of the increase of stress, lack of sleep, and headaches. In this essay I will explain why homework is a waste of time do to the safety of our children in our society.
Lack of sleep, this is a problem for kids and parents. This is caused for of them because if the children get a really hard math sheets or a bunch a very hard question's and they can't get it. They ask their parents to help but if the parents don't even get the question themselves then they might stay up until 3:00 in the morning. On top of that if their parents have to get up really early in the morning like at 5:45 like my mother they will be very tired and might sleep in the job get in a car accident or even get fired by their own boss for messing something up something. This also relates to the child's day as well like if they wake up late for school and miss their bus they are going to be very late, and if they have a test that day and they feel like a zombie they might fail the test and their parents might yell at them.
Furthermore headaches, which is when your head hurts really badly. Headaches are caused by a certain amount of stress which hurts and torments the kids. They can also get it by not eating a lot in a large amount of time. This can happen if one day they have a ton of homework and they don't won't to do it they just want to play their video games like most kids, but the kids parents said you have to do your homework first. The kid probably would get really mad and start fuming and turning all red. After they might stomp up the stairs and lock themselves in their own room until l the next morning. Locking yourself in you room for a very long time can torture you and your parents.
Moreover increase of stress. The increase of stress can decrease your life span. Homework is a major stress causer for intermediate and teenager students because after school they just want to go out with their friend and go see a movie or such .They also probably want to go on Facebook msn or text the night away. Then when they get back or finish whatever they are doing they found out that they had to right an entire essay they start to stress out and speed threw it for the sake of getting it done and there work is really sloppy. Stress can shorten your life depending on the amount of stress. This is proven by scientists.
I do think homework is a waste of time for the issues such as high level of stress, people not getting insignificant amount of sleep, and the injury concerns for our community. So is homework a waste of time? Well I say yes so come on together we can end homework forever.
Justin.
Homework is NOT a Waste of Time
Name: Helena
Teacher: Ms. Babb
Parents want the best for their children. To have a brilliant life, encourage them to have good grades, and help them to not be lazy. This is when homework is needed. I understand that homework is a bother at times, but without homework, how would children succeed in life? At times like these, homework is actually a good thing to do.
My first opinion that I would like to clarify is that homework prepares children for the next lesson. Homework is when they need to practice on the work they did on that day. If they don't understand the previous lesson or if they forget about it, homework that is based on the specific lesson can help them understand, therefore, they could reminisce to it. Furthermore, if there is an up coming test, the homework can teach them the lesson again and they could study over it to prepare.
My second reason of why homework is not a waste of time is because homework is actually worth 60% of our grades! I quote from my teacher, Ms. Babb. If students do their homework, the 60% will count in their
grades, have a better chance of going into their future careers and it will benefit in their entire life. If students don't do their homework, they won't acknowledge the lessons that they learned on that day.
My last stable reason of why homework is not a waste of time is that homework can entertain them. Instead of watching TV or surfing the Internet, they could do homework. I know, this doesn't necessary sound
like a reasonable statement, but TV and computers could damage their vision. Moreover, it could even affect their brains! Certainly, parents would not want to risk that, therefore, homework is a lot safer than it would actually sound like.
Homework is not a waste of time. Why do you ask? Answer is simple. Homework affects students' grades, entertains them at the times when they are bored and have nothing to do, and gives them time for them to
prepare or study for the next lesson. Some people may disagree with this, and I know many will, but surely, mostly every answer to many different topics is a 50, 50% chance of answering them, just like this one. At least, that is what I think. So, as you can see, homework is not evil, horrible, or something that will eat you whole, it's just something that teachers give you to show that they care about you; you're grades and such.

Homework is NOT a Waste of Time
Alexandra
Homework should be a part of our daily routine. It is not a waste of time because it teaches the students discipline to do the work without being distracted. If we didn't have homework what would we learn? Now, I know homework is not the most exciting thing in the world especially next to cell phones, iPod's, and texting, however it helps you practice the things you've learned in class, it gives the students something to do at home instead of watching T.V. and it gives the parents an idea of how their child is doing in class. Therefore, why shouldn't kids have homework?
"Practice makes perfect". Have you ever needed to do something however you only practiced it once every day? Well that is why homework is there. It helps you to learn, and memorize the things you did at school. Doing well in school weather it is doing your homework or, getting work done in class all depends on the kind of future life that you want. For example, just say you needed to study for a science test, you failed it and, you wanted to become a scientist. Your final mark on your report card for science would drop and therefore you may not get accepted for the job that you want. You were too lazy to practice the skills for the science test and you thought it wouldn't affect your grade too much. Well if you had practiced you would have been living your dream being a scientist. You need homework to review what you did at school and become better at it.
Do you love your parents? Well, they love us, want the best for us, and work very hard to make us happy. We can make them happy too! If we get homework it will give our parents a chance to see how we are doing
in school, and to see if we need the extra help from them or if we are able to figure it out by ourselves. It will tell our parents if we are paying attention during class or if we are just chatting with our neighbour. If we didn't have homework, our parents would be thinking we are learning nothing in class and they wouldn't know what we have been up to.
Would you rather lose brain cells or gain brain cells? A study shows that kids and teens 8 to 18 years spend nearly 4 hours a day in front of a TV screen and almost 2 additional hours on the computer (outside of schoolwork) and playing video games. Watching T.V. affects the child's behavior because if the child watches violent shows he/she is most likely to be very aggressive during class etc. It is very important to monitor how much time your child is putting towards homework rather than T.V. By playing electronic devices you are losing all of the information you learned at school that day and, you are furthermore losing brain cells that you could have been using towards doing your homework.
It is important to have homework every day. We learn from doing homework. If you do homework you will learn things easily, make your parents very happy, and it gives it you something educational to do
while you're at home. Sometimes we think homework is just a waste of time however it will really help you later on in life when you are trying to get a good paying job. Electronics and other entertainment may help us pass time for a few hours then, however homework will help us for a long time in the future.

Homework is a waste of time!!
Is homework a waste of time and does homework destroying our freedom and happiness. If you want no homework and tell people that homework is a waste of time. Then listen well because this is my point of view and it may help you.
The first reason why homework is a waste of time. Is that some kids have chores to do but they cannot do them because they homework. If they don't there chores they get in trouble and they get grounded. So if you think this is right fight for the power.
The second reason why homework is a waste of time. Is that most students have after school programs and won't be able to finish their homework. This is a point but it is my weakest point out of all the points.
The third reason why homework is a waste of time. Is that the work that we got to do at home is just a review of what we did at school. We, as kids can memorize easily since our brains are always developing. This is a point I like and it is a very strong point.
This is the end of my point of view why homework is a waste of time. Hoped you enjoyed these points about this debate.

Lent is a time for fasting. Lent is when we remember how Jesus went through the desert for forty days and forty nights alone, hungry, and thirsty. Specifically the devil comes and tempts Jesus to eat, drink,
and to trust him but Jesus obviously said No! However many Christians fast fish, eggs, fats, and milky foods. They do this to remember what Jesus did so that they may become strong in the mind and pure in the
heart. This is a religious sacrifice and a sign of our commitment to God. Jesus challenges us to live the way God wants us to, even if we have to sacrifice many things for him. I am sacrificing junk food like chips, candy, and pop. What are you giving up?

Homework is not a waste of time!
Knowledge is the one thing that gets us what and where we need to get. The only way to develop our brains fully enough is to stay in school and do our work as your teacher says. A lot of people say that homework is just a way for punishments to be given or it's a big waste if time when you can be doing other things, are the people that will not have good jobs in the future. If you do want a good life, a job that pays off, and then a lot of money, you will have to us your smarts.
The reason for my opinion is that obviously, everyone in life wants money. You know you do. You can't get your way if you're well… stupid. You know you also want to be smart. Everyone does. But if you drop out of school and don't do what you have to do, then face it, you can't be smart like some other people who graduated. The best way to develop your brain and drill on what you need to know is homework. Also, since parents want the best for their kids they should have them do homework as they please. Then as they grow up they will know the knowledge they need to know in life.
Another reason is that if you were in a store or a certain situation where you needed to calculate something immediately, you couldn't really do that because you might've not learned how to do things quickly and shortly because you couldn't remember. Why didn't you remember? You couldn't remember because you didn't do all your homework. Ms. Babb once told us she went to an auto shop to get her oil changed on her car. She explained to us that the mechanic was really good with his hands but when it came time for her to pay, the mechanic didn't know how to calculate the change. Yes it's a sad truth. This guy probably didn't remember math because he dropped out of school or maybe he didn't do the entire math he needed to do.
This also may not seem like much but language is probably the utmost important thing you should learn. Why you ask? This is because every signal, every word, every letter, and everything that I've said so far is linked to language. If you don't know all your words or a language fluently or properly consider this, you couldn't learn other things, do a lot of things, communicate effectively with someone, or pretty much live a life properly.
Our brain is a very complex thing. Consequentially it can't be that awesome thing in our head if it's not developed and utilized properly. Nevertheless people choose not to do what they need to life an efficient life. To put for people who wouldn't understand this means knowledge=good job, which =money, and that= good life. Of course to do this you need smartness. Some people say they can make it on their own, but truthfully you pretty much can't. So you should get cracking on your work, get your good grades, develop your brains, stay in school, and last but not least live your life to the fullest.

Homework is a waste of time
How many times have you heard a student give you an excuse to why their homework isn't done? A teacher wouldn't have to hear those excuses if the students didn't have the responsibility of doing their homework. Students could be happier and work better in class if they had no homework. You've probably wondered how many of your students do after school activities. What you probably haven't wondered is how long they really have to do their homework. They have enough time to do their homework
after the activity but after the activity they would often be tired. You can't just tell their parents not to let them do the activity because they could almost be professional at the sport or activity. I don't know about you but I couldn't live with myself knowing that I possibly took away a profession from someone. But you could help their side and not give homework so that they don't have to harshly deal with both of those responsibilities.
Teacher's everywhere often wonder why kids come up with their excuses. The students often invent their excuses because of the fear they have of their punishment or the teacher knowing they don't have their work
done. Each time they give an excuse, no matter if it's true or not, their G.P.A (Grade Point Average) goes down in whatever subject. They don't even realize until they get their report cards. I don't think
that students should have to take on that responsibility. If anything no homework could just give the teachers a chance to give the students more work in class.
Have you ever seen one of your students come to class looking angry and confused? It's usually because they didn't understand their homework and didn't get it finished. Giving homework to primary kids
can damage their relations with their parents. And if you think about it that way then you could be taking away some relations away from the child and the parent. The stress of homework can be so bad that a
student would cry when they don't understand a question. The stress will just keep tempting the student until they make an excuse.
Homework can take away time from family, news, and other media aside from the fact that it's boring. Obviously homework is also a cause of stress. Of course the worst part of homework is that you have to do it from grade one through university. The only thing homework should befor is for your dog to eat.
Homework is Not a Waste of Time By: Duckboy
A killer hyena shattered my window, glass shards flying everywhere as it busted into my house, its claws shining as they aimed straight at my face. I thought fast, holding my homework over my face, causing the hyena's claws to bounce harmlessly off my homework's indestructible surface. Well, maybe homework can't do THAT, but it has many great purposes aside from that, making it definitely not a waste of time.
I had almost given up trying to remember, feeling my life float away, just how my memory of my previous school work had, when a miracle flashed through the sky and landed at my fingertips- homework. One of many great uses, homework should continue in existence due to the fact that it helps students to review the work that they had done previously in the day, so that the students cease to forget what they have learned. For example, if someone was trying to memorize a line from a book or something like that, the best way to do that would be to read over the line many times, until it is completely memorized. Quite similar to memorizing school work- it can be done once in class, but for maximum retrospection of the day's work, homework should be completed.
Of course, all of you parents should gain from our homework, too- and, in fact, you can! For not only do us students think: BONUS! when we receive homework (which, believe it or not, we do, since we know we can't fail if we treat homework as a study sheet), all of you parents learn, too. Though not in the way you might expect- parents learn what we students are accomplishing at school; what our curriculum is, since it is a FACT that the curriculum changes every year, or perhaps ALMOST every year. Parents can also keep in mind how the work is being taught to us students through homework.
Now that I have homework…I could be UNSTOPPABLE! I will LOSE ALL DEPENDENCE of teachers and classmates! I can RULE the GALAXY! That's… not exactly what homework can do for you, though it helps students to gain independence, losing dependence of other people, like teachers to help them out, and other students to explain to them what to do. So, why is that necessary? Well, when we grow up, we don't have a teacher or other guys to help us out- we have to find our own ways through our careers, like me; when I become a professional snowboarder, lacrosse, and hockey player, who's going to tell me what trick to perform, or when my next game is?
It helps us students to review our work. It helps parents to discover what we kids are learning, as well as helping us to gain independence. Yeah, I think we can all agree on one thing- homework is not a waste of time.

Homework is a waste of time
Why don't kids go outside to play? Why do kids always ask for more sleep whenever mom or dad wakes them up in the morning? At last, why don't kids spend time with their family? Sure, there are a lot of answers to these questions, but the main one is Homework! Homework is a waste of time. I understand that homework improves our grade but we can't do a good job if we're not alert and awake.
"If students stay up late to do homework they won't get the 10-11 hours of sleep they need to function and do well in school"said John .T Parents do not like it when they have to attempt to wake their children 5 times before they become alert.
If that little time is not used, because the children are too busy with homework, the parents feel that all they did was for nothing.

For decades Earth has faced a diabolical and unbeatable situation causing students, parents and teachers to go peculiar. This nefarious source is none other than homework. Discussing about homework is a unique and interesting topic because it can be argued negatively or positively. I will be taking the negative side of the argument, therefore, the real question to explore is either homework improves our intelligence or holds back our liberty and happiness?
Homework induced stress is one of the worst case scenarios. Everyone knows that as kids we have such busy lives. A full day of school, extra-curricular activities, family time, and obviously we try to squeeze in some relaxation time. This is already a massive schedule notwithstanding the fact that homework is on top of it. A result of this busy schedule is stress. If we don't have a good amount of sleep because of homework than we won't be at our best in school thus lowering our grades marks and embarrassment. It is definitely next to impossible to create a balance between life and work. If we have a huge amount of homework we won't be able to attend to our extra-curricular activities, consequently it will cause stress and other problems, we won't be able to learn and explore new things at the activity and there is also a chance of getting kicked out of the club or group we associate with. The list goes on and on as to how homework adds to our already stressful lives. It is a huge injustice to children and youth.
Without a doubt parents give duties or chores to their children in order to create a sense of responsibility and ownership in them. These can be as simple as doing the dishes or as serious as taking care of ill grandparents, however homework causes to cut down time on those life-time learning lessons. No matter how big the duty or chore, our parents depend on us to complete them, with homework in the way we can't fulfill these responsibilities as a result not letting us realize our potentials and sometimes causes disappointment to parents, moreover we would be deprived of learning what actually responsibility is and what it takes to fulfil it? Therefore we shouldn't have a massive homework at all. It is just a bump in the road and is not as important as learning responsibility or realizing our potentials. You don't want kids not to learn responsibilities do you?
Obviously parents want their kids to get good grades and not get into trouble at school. Well with that in mind a source shows that a school stopped giving homework to the students, as a result in less than a year the school noticed very impressive grades from the students, a more cheerful spirit and they also experienced less detention time and trouble from the student. If parents and teachers want these great characteristics from kids then schools should stop giving homework to students. As a result they will notice a great change in the students giving everyone a smile on their faces. Certainly homework should stop being given. Do you really want kids to get horrible grades, give attitude or get into massive trouble?
With all of these points in mind you might think twice about extending homework to students. Although homework is given with good intentions kids and parents do not appreciate it. It is inconsiderate to everyone involved and should be eliminated from the school curriculum moreover I would like to ask whether you would like a refreshed student in the morning at school or a confused, tired and restless student…? The answer is all up to you.
lent
Lent
Lent is one of the most important events in the Christian calendar. It starts on Ash Wednesday. Lent goes on for about 40 days. During these days, we remember the time Jesus went into the desert by himself, with no water or food. Jesus did this to become stronger. While Jesus was in the desert, the devil came and tried to make Jesus eat and drink. Jesus was strong enough to refuse and continue his journey in the desert. As Christians, it is our job to give up something during Lent. It can be anything, meat, dairy products, or maybe even electronics! It can also be something that you're addicted to. I am giving up drinking pop and using Facetime on my Ipad. Giving up things might not always be easy. In fact, it's a little hard. Some of us find giving up things, that we don't need, hard! Jesus gave up things that he needed to live. I think Lent helps you grow stronger, you gain more self-control!

I think homework is a waste of time. Students need to have enough time to be active, get enough sleep, and have enough free time. With a lot of homework, school, a social life, and things going on at home, clearly homework is just one more thing that causes students to stress.
After school most students like to relax at home instead of having to worry about their homework and so between relaxing, being with family, and homework, they won't have enough time to be active. After
doing the things that are needed after school it would probably be dark out and they would not be able to go outside. Being active is needed by students so that they can be healthy and function well in school. Since a student is busy most of the day it probably stressesthem out more that they have to be active too.
Some days we have a lot of homework so we might stay up late doing it. For some students their homework piles up on them and makes them stressed that they have to finish it all by the time it is due so they
stay up late to do it. This causes lack of sleep. If a student does not get the 10-11 hours of sleep, that is needed, they will not be able to function well in school. 10-11 hours of sleep is a necessity for students so they should be able to sleep properly without havingto worry about their homework.
About 7 hours of a student's day is spent at school. After those 7 hours a student is expected to spend time with their family, friends, study for tests and on top of these things they are also expected to finish their homework. These things may pile up on a student and cause him/her to worry about how much time they have. Without homework thestudents would have one less thing to worry about.
Therefore I think homework is a waste of time. With everything else that goes on in a student's life, homework may cause a student to feel negatively toward school. All parents want their children to be happy
at school, so is homework really a good thing for the students or does it just make them resentful?

Homework is a waste of time.
Homework is a waste of time.
I think homework is a major waste of time. Students should have the capabilities of doing other things besides homework. I think homework shouldn't hold them back on doing the things they enjoy to do like extra-curricular activities', chores, internet browsing and much more.
Kids in my class always complain about having homework because they have other things to do after school. They have appointments, practices for sports, chores ordered by parents. There is now way you can cram homework in between those types of things. Young kids also need there rest, after a busy week. I think that they deserve at least an hour of rest but they can't rest because of there homework they haven't completed yet. What I'm trying to say is that, kids aren't capable of doing so many things on one day. Kids have lives to; they have more things to do then just do homework.
Students shouldn't be getting homework, what so ever. Why would students get homework after school when they should be studying or practicing at school? Like why waste 6 hours of a day at school and have homework on, for example math. What if they already know and understands math. I think that it's totally absurd, when you spend six hours a day at school and bring back all of the work you could of done in that 6 hour period at school.
Teachers and everyday people usually say to live life to the fullest and to enjoy life, but how can you enjoy life or live it to the fullest when homework is holding us back on what we enjoy and love. Teachers are basically ending there social life by giving them more homework.
I think kids shouldn't be wasting there time on homework. They should be living life to the fullest and not be wasting there time on homework, so teachers, please take this into consideration and let kids have no more homework. They would obviously be happy about this and have more freedom.
Homework is not a waste of time essay
Homework is Not A Waste of Time
Do you think that homework is a waste of time? Well, I don't think it is because we understand more of what we learned at school, it gives us a chance to show how responsible we are by working independently, and it teaches us how to become more organized. These are just some of the reasons why I think that homework is not a waste of time. But I'm sure that there are plenty more of why homework is a good thing.
One reason why I think homework isn't a waste of time is because it teaches us how to become more organized. As we grow older, we become more organized because each year we learn how to organize our homework altogether and put it aside from other things so that it doesn't get lost. It also prepares us for high school because when we go, there would be a lot of homework from the different classes and we would also have to organize them so that they won't be submitted to the wrong teacher. Without homework, we wouldn't be as organized as we are right now. The more organized you are, the faster you get things done.
Furthermore, I think homework isn't a waste of time is because we understand more of what we learned at school by doing it at home. It gives us a clearer understanding of that specific subject or lesson that we learned that day. When we go back to school the next day, we would already understand the previous lesson so we could go ahead instead of repeating it. It also builds up our knowledge in that subject. I'm sure that everyone would want a clear understanding first then move on, instead of moving on and not understanding anything.
The last reason why I think homework isn't a waste of time is because it gives us a chance to show how responsible we are by doing it independently. We can demonstrate how good of a leader/role model we are by completing all of our homework on time. As a result of handing it in on time, we get a grade for homework completion. It also prepares us for the future when we start to do things on our own. Also, by showing your responsibility the teachers could depend on you more when they want you to bring something in or to finish something.
Becoming more responsible, organized, and getting a clear understanding, all the reasons why I think homework is not a waste of time. Homework may be boring, but there's a lot of good that you get from it. We work independently and we become more responsible when we finish homework on time. Wouldn't you want to be a good role model to all by showing your responsibility and organizational skills?

Homework is not a waste of time
One of the ways of making it in life. Those are the words that should make you realize why homework is not a waste of time. My point of view is this because I believe that homework is one of the little things in life that make a big difference. Homework keeps us caught up in our curriculum and lets us stay organised in our studies.
Think about it, when you go home with homework, you sit down and take at least thirty seconds to organise your worksheets and assignments. You always think about what you need to do and how you should do it. This is organisation; as growing up with more and more homework, you learn the life skill of staying organised. When you're organised, you get assignments handed in, you stay on top of things. You stay occupied and active.
Speaking of being active, when kids get home they watch television, go on their computer or text on their cellular devices being lazy. Homework keeps their brains running and it keeps them intellectually inclined. A world famous scientist named Doctor Shoe, has proven that you need to exercise to avoid obesity. Homework keeps them thinking and achieving goals.
In my opinion, homework is an everyday goal that gives us kids a feeling of achievement and the satisfaction makes us work harder. When we have reached achievements in life, our confidence gives us the ability to work harder so we're proud of the results. Homework is a reach of success in little ways that is just a step closer to getting a good education and making it in life.
Basically, I believe that organisation staying active, staying intellectually inclined, and believing in you is the key to making it in life. It is also part of what homework does for us. I believe that little things like homework make you these things. School is a make it or break it part of life. If you do your homework and achieve in assignments, you're going to make it. Homework isn't a waste of time, it's a life achievement that gives you the pleasure once it's finished.

LENT By: Duckboy
As I see it, Lent is a time to ask for forgiveness, as we resist any evil temptations that we may receive- in fact, any temptations altogether. We give up the items that we consider "extremely useful", though they're not- we just think they're cool. The First Lent occurred when Jesus fled to the desert, where he stayed for 40 days and 40 nights praying and fasting. Though the devil approached him, trying to tempt him, He could still withstand the pressure, setting an example for us to also be able to resist all sinning that we may commit. We also must ask for forgiveness from the Lord God, for all the evil sins we have committed, so that we shall ascend into Heaven after we die. And, thanks to our Saviour, Jesus, we may be able to enter the Kingdom of Heaven if we beg for forgiveness of our sins from the Lord. And now, in the season of Lent, we mortals must fast to show our abilities to survive without something we like. Also, we must GIVE to others who are in need- anyone who doesn't have all the necessities that we have. For Lent, I'm not exactly sure what to give up, but I might give up candy, or video games, or maybe just cut my time on video games… either way, I still won't be as good a person as Jesus, but it may help me to stop sinning throughout my life. As for the helping others part… I'm not sure what I can do to help people in need… though I can help the others around me, and if I see any poor people, I shall give them some of my own money; not much help, I guess, but I have no idea how else to help them. Not only that, but I shall also pray much more often, ask the Lord for forgiveness for my sins, and ask for help to be more united with Him, and to resist all evil temptations. After I have accomplished all these things and Lent comes to an end, I should become a better person- more connected to God. Yeah, that's what I believe Lent is about, though I'm not quite sure if I'm correct.
