Mr.Hoodhood is always a strict parent. What he tells you to do you have to do. He won't even let you ask why. This is the dilemma Heather is facing. Heather wants to go to Columbia University but her dad
won't let her. Mr.Hoodhood's reasons for Heather not to go to University are right but also wrong. One reason is that at Columbia University is where they are on strike to protest because they want peace and no war. Since the University is on strike there are no classes. So Heather won't study. One other reason Mr.Hoodhood does not want her to go University is so she won't become a hippie. Plus Mr.Hoodhood offered a job for Heather because now she can get a job without going to College. Mr.Hoodhood is right in one way because he wants his daughter to be safe. Heather is also right in one way because even if she wants to be a Doctor her father won't let her go to University. Mr.Hoodhood is not giving her the choice of freedom to do what she wants in the future. I think overall Heather is right because Mr.Hoodhood bosses Heather each time. I think people still have this attitude. People still have this attitude because their past was probably like

Mr. Kowalski and Mr. Hoodhood

Mr. Kowalski and Mr. Hoodhood are 2 different characters. Mr. Hoodhood takes everything with ease and is always brave. Mr. Kowalski is kind of like a shy person who is not open minded. Mr.Hoodhood is a person who really cares for his business and himself. Like when Holling got hurt he said he will come on his own time. Mr. Kowalski is more of a caring person. That is how they are different. They are also the same. They are both competitive in their job and always want to win. They both be perfect in their job and don't like to make mistakes. Let's just say they both go to the extreme to win.

Macbeth summary

Macbeth is a great story written by Shakespeare. This story is filled with guilt and lies. The story is set in Scotland. This story starts with 3 witches creating a magic potion to make their evil prophesy come true. They are the villains in the story. The king at that time was king Duncan who had a son named Malcom, the son who later goes against Macbeth. King Duncan has 2 generals, Macbeth and Banquo. Macbeth has a wife and later both Macbeth and Lady Macbeth get paranoid. Banquo has one son named Fleance.
Macbeth meets 3 witches who tell his future and it comes true. First Macbeth is rewarded Thane of Cawdor. After the dinner with King Duncan, Macbeth and his wife decide to kill the king. So Macbeth did and then he became king. Prophecy also tells that Banquo's descendents will also be king. Macbeth got paranoid and decides to kill Banquo and his son, however his son escapes. Banquo's ghost interferes with the feast and Macbeth gets crazy. This made people think he shouldn't be king and Macduff also thought so. Macduff joins King Duncan's son Malcom to fight against Macbeth. Macduff kills Macbeth in battle.

                                              Homework is not a waste of time

Homework is not a waste of time, it's actually a hero! Yes it is boring and not amusing but without homework we cannot have an amazing future to build on. Are you sure homework is a waste of time? With homework we get to expand are learning abilities. Homework makes us get marks for what we learned. It helps us to do better in subjects. Another reason homework is great is because it gets you ready for big tests. Sometimes students also forget what they learned last year, but homework makes you have a light review on what you did last year.

Ever wonder how Sydney Crosby is great at hockey; it is because he practices very hard. Like that homework is practice on what we learned each day. This practice helps us reach our goals like getting good
grades on your report card. A world without homework is world without practice.

Homework is a helping hand for us to get that great future job. It's not fun but it's all worth it at the end. Homework helps us build our great future. The homework given today is the future of tomorrow.

The Parable of the Three Servants

Summary

There was a master who had three servants. The master had to go on a journey, so he called his three servants to take care of his property. To the first servant he gave five thousand gold coins, the second two thousand, and the third one thousand. The master left on his journey. The servant with five thousand invested it and got ten thousand. Then the servant with two thousand did the same and got four thousand. The last servant hid the money. The master came from his journey and was proud of everybody except the last servant. He kicked the last servant out of the house.

Moral

    The moral of the story is that we have to use our talents. If we use our talents we will get more talents. We must use our talents to do great things and help other people. Then the more talents you get.

Prayer

Lord our father help us to use our talents to help others and praise your name. Give the people more talents if they used there first talents.

                                                             My Week At Home

               Let's get something clear here, Teen Ranch and my allergies don't get along. Teen ranch is place you stay for a few days and do interesting stuff. Like you get to ride horses and play games. Since I have allergies to horses I can't go. So I had the week off. Now I did a few great stuff at home.     

                          I went to this amazing restaurant called The Old Spaghetti Factory. The food was wonderful there. Once you tasted there food your taste buds would explode. First I tried there salad and put the tasty sauce, it was great. Then the main meal, spaghetti. It was delicious mostly because of the spaghetti sauce. Then I had ice cream which was like regular ice cream.

                    As days past we got to put our Christmas tree up and decorate it, which was cool. Putting the lights on the tree was hard because it was a big tree. Then we ran out of lights so we had to purchase more. We had about 700 lights on that tree.

              After the tree was finished some Christmas carolers came. Also a few family friends came. My mom made good food like coffee cake. Everybody enjoyed themselves. Even if I didn't go to Teen Ranch I did great stuff at home. Everything I did was fun. It felt like I was at Teen Ranch. A week I will never forget.

                                                           

John McCrae

           

               Abraham Lincoln said, ''Go forward without fear." John McCrae can be described like that. John was born November 30, 1872 Guelph Ontario. He went to the University of Toronto. McCrae was a physician at Alexandra hospital and an assistant physician in Royal Victoria hospital at Montreal. John joined in the First Canadian Contingent. Later he served artillery and became a medical officer. He is famous for one of his poems called ''In Flanders Fields''. During his life he wrote many poems and one of the best was ''In Flanders Fields''. The poem was published in Punch magazine December 8, 1915. Later John was in a hospital because of pneumonia in June 1, 1915. Sadly January 28, 1918 he died. His courage is what keeps us going.
