Macbeth~ Summary
Macbeth is a very interesting play that tells an extraordinary story of the battle of the kings. The story starts off when Macbeth and Banquo defeat two separate armies in battle. On their way to see the king of Scotland, they encounter three witches. These witches told Macbeth that he will be a Thane of Cawdor, and that he will also become the king of Scotland.
Later that day Duncan's men arrived and told Macbeth that as a reward for his braveness he will be made the Thane of Cawdor. When Macbeth arrived home, his wife convinced him to murder king Duncan so he could get the throne to himself. As a plan Macbeth get the chamberlains drunk, and they eventually pass out. When King Duncan was asleep Macbeth stabbed him. Macbeth is crowned king of Scotland.
Near the end of the play, Macbeth remembered the witch's prophecy that Banquo's heir would become king of Scotland. As a result Macbeth is paranoid and hires someone to kill Banquo and his son. During the feast that night, Macbeth see's the ghost of Banquo and begins to act abnormal. The Scottish nobility begin to think he is not fit to be king. Macduff plots to over throw Macbeth. At the end Macduff and Macbeth fight. Macduff beheads Macbeth and Malcolm is crowned king. A few years passed as Fleace (the son of Banquo) is crowned king of Scotland. The witch's prophecies were fulfilled after all.
