"Double, double toil and trouble; Fire burn, and caldron bubble". Three witches, in Scotland, were making a potion to help fulfil an evil prophesy. As they were working Macbeth and Banquo, two of King Duncan's general's, stopped by the three witches. The witches told Macbeth and Banquo the future they would have and so the prophesy began. At first Macbeth didn't believe it but after a reward of "Throne of Cawdor" by the king something had changed in Macbeth. He remembered that the witches said he would become Throne of Cawdor and eventually king of Scotland. Lady Macbeth convinced Macbeth to kill King Duncan and take the throne for himself. Macbeth murdered the king. When the murder was noticed in the morning Macbeth killed the king's chamberlains pretending that he had killed them because he was angry that the chamberlains had killed the king. By doing this Macbeth was crowned King of Scotland.
As the days went on Macbeth became paranoid. He was worried about the witch's prophecy where Banquo's son would become king. He sent someone to kill Banquo and his son Fleance. Banquo was killed but Fleance escaped. Macbeth knew something was coming by Macduff. He ordered that his castle be seized and that his family be killed. When Macduff hears about this he promises to get back at him. With Macbeth's family Lady Macbeth was going insane. She did something wrong that she shouldn't have done and she was seeing imaginary blood on her hands. This caused her to kill herself. Macbeth was hurt but he was still confident with taking Macduff down. Macbeth and Macduff met on the battlefield which ended with a very gruesome death of beheading Macbeth. Years later Fleance became king and the witch's prophecy fulfilled.
