Suddenly they found out Macbeth kills the chamberlains pretending that he has killed them because he's so angry that they murdered King Duncan. Macbeth remembers the witches' prophecy that Bonquo's heir (successor) would one day become King of Scotland. Macbeth is really paranoid and hires someone to murder Banquoi and his son Fleance. Furthermore Macbeth found men are "born of women" and he feels safe about it. He also found out forests cannot move!!! Macbeth is devastated at the loss of his wife. MacDuff tells Macbeth that he was not "born of woman" which Macbeth is scared of. Fleance, son of Banquo, also becomes King of Scotland. Harpier cries: "tis time! Tis time!" Tis time for the three witches of Scotland to fulfill an evil prophesy. The three witches brewing a magic potion that designed to help fulfill the prophesy. Later on, the Scottish King Duncan heard the news about his two generals, Mac Beth and Banquo. They defeated two separate armies in battle. When Mac Beth and Banquo go and meet the King, they come across the three witches. They decided to tell Macbeth and Banquo about the prophesy. The witches told Mac Beth that he will be made Throne of Cawdor, which is a rank of Scottish nobility, and eventually he will be the King of Scotland. Banquo was told that his descendant will become King of Scotland, but not Banquo himself. Mac Beth didn't think that the prophesy was true. Afterwards, a few of the Duncan men arrived. They told Mac Beth that as a reward for his brave performance in battle he has been made Throne of Cawdor.

King Duncan and Mac Beth then started to plan a dinner together at Mac Beth's castle. Once Mac Beth got home, Lady Mac Beth started to convince Mac Beth that he should murder King Duncan so he could take the throne and fulfill the prophesy. At the dinner, Mac Beth and Lady Mac Beth got the kings chamberlain so drunk that they passed out until the next morning. Since the chamberlain were passed out, it was much easier to get to King Duncan. Next, Mac Beth stabs the King in his sleep. He planned to blame the murder on the chamberlain, since they were really drunk, they would not remember much. When the murder got discovered in the morning Mac Beth kills the chamberlains so that he could pretend that he actually killed them because he got angry that they murdered King Duncan. Then, Mac Beth gets crowned King of Scotland. Once he remembered the witches prophesy he also remembered that Banquo's heir would become King of Scotland one day. Mac Beth becomes so paranoid he hires someone to kill Banquo's son Fleance. Instead Banquo gets killed and Fleance escapes.

Banquos ghost visits Mac Beth at a feast on the same night Mac Beth killed him. As a result Mac Beth starts to act crazy in front of all his guests as well as the Scottish nobility. After seeing Mac Beth acting insane, they began to think it wasn't a good idea to have Mac Beth as king. One of them, Mac Duff, then plots to over throw Mac Beth. After, Mac Beth goes to visit the witches. They tell him that he has to beware of Mac Duff that he is incapable of being harmed of any man born of woman and lastly, that he would be safe only until Birnam wood comes to Dunsinane castle. He felt safe because he knew that all men were born of women and that Forests could not move. But he was still worried about Mac Duff and his plot to eliminate the threat. He found out that Mac Duff has gone to England to work on a plan with King Duncan's son Malcolm. The plan was to attack Mac Beth. He ordered that Mac Duff's castle be seized and that his wife and children be killed. Once Mac Duff found out about Mac Beth and his family's murder he vowed to get revenge on Mac Beth. Meanwhile Lady Mac Beth was feeling really guilty after King Duncan's murder. She killed herself in despair. Mac Beth was devastated but still was confident that he doesn't have to feel scared until Mac Duff, Malcolm, and their army approach with branches cut from Birnam wood. Once they approach Mac Beth starts to encounter a vindictive battle with Mac Duff. While fighting Mac Duff said that he was not born of woman, but untimely ripped from his mother's womb. Mac Duff beheads Mac Beth and Malcolm becomes the King of Scotland. Years later, Fleance becomes King of Scotland next.

On their way to see the king of Scotland, they encounter three witches. These witches told Macbeth that he will be a Thane of Cawdor, and that he will also become the king of Scotland.
Later that day Duncan's men arrived and told Macbeth that as a reward for his braveness he will be made the Thane of Cawdor. When Macbeth arrived home, his wife convinced him to murder king Duncan so he could get the throne to himself. As a plan Macbeth get the chamberlains drunk, and they eventually pass out. When King Duncan was asleep Macbeth stabbed him. Macbeth is crowned king of Scotland.
Near the end of the play, Macbeth remembered the witch's prophecy that Banquo's heir would become king of Scotland. As a result Macbeth is paranoid and hires someone to kill Banquo and his son. During the feast that night, Macbeth see's the ghost of Banquo and begins to act abnormal. The Scottish nobility begin to think he is not fit to be king. Macduff plots to over throw Macbeth. At the end Macduff and Macbeth fight. Macduff beheads Macbeth and Malcolm is crowned king. A few years passed as Fleace (the son of Banquo) is crowned king of Scotland. Macbeth Summary
In Scotland there were once these 3 witches who made up and evil prophecy that came true. Now there were also 2 men by the name of Macbeth and Banquo. While these two men were on their way to meet the king they came across the 3 witches. The witches had told Macbeth that he would be made Thane of Cawdor (a rank of Scottish nobility) then the witches told Banquo that his descendant will be made King of Scotland. Macbeth did not believe what h witches said until some of Duncans men arrived and told him that he got a reward for his bravery. Macbeth then became Thane of Cawdor. Macbeth suddenly thinks that there is a possibility that this prophecy is real.
Later on when Macbeth and King Duncan talked, they planned to dine together at Macbeth's castle. Macbeth then sends a message to his wife saying to get ready for Kind Duncan and his sons. But when he arrived home Lady Macbeth told Macbeth he should kill King Duncan to fulfill the prophecy. Later that night he does as he was told and killed the king, but the next morning Macbeth had blamed the murder on the kings servants and then killed them too. Macbeth was is now crowned King of Scotland. But then Macbeth remembers that Fleance, Banquos son, will soon take his place as king and he did not like that. Macbeth then hired someone to kill both Banquo and his son, unfortunately Fleance got away and Banquo got murdered. During the feast that night the ghost of Banquo visits Macbeth causing him to act insane making it look like he was not fit to be a king. One of them, Macduff, plans to overthrow Macbeth.
Out of insanity and paranoia Macbeth goes and visits the witches. They tell him 3 things, 1 to beware of Macduff, 2  he can't be hurt "by any man born of women", and 3 he will be safe until "Birnman Wood comes to Dunsinane Castle". Now Macbeth learns that Macduff is working with King Duncan's son Malcom to attack against him. Macbeth then orders for Macduff's castle to be seized and his family to be killed. Macduff had vowed to take revenge. Meanwhile Lady Macbeth commits suicide because she felt guilty for King Duncan's murder. Macbeth is upset about his wife, however he still has confidence. But then Macuff and Malcoms army approached Dunsinane Castle with shields made from Birnam Wood. During the battle Macduff tells Macbeth he is not born of a woman, he was cut out of his mother's womb. After he had told Macbeth that he beheaded him and now Malcom is King of Scotland. In later years Fleance, Banquos Son, became King of Scotland and the prophecy has been fulfilled.

                                                                 SUMMARY OF Macbeth    By: Duckboy
A potion gets brewed by 3 witches, who are using the mixture to discover a prophecy. Macbeth, who had just defeated two armies with his comrade, Banquo, while working for King Duncan of Scotland, is approached by the witches, who alert him that he will first become Thane of Cawdor, and later become the King. The witches also tell Banquo that his son or daughter will also be king, and these two prophecies are believed when King Duncan sends men to tell Macbeth that he has been rewarded as Thane of Cawdor.
Macbeth invites the King to his castle, and Macbeth's wife convinces him that he must murder the King in order to become King, so while King Duncan is asleep, Macbeth kills him, and kills the King's guards after putting the blame on them. Macbeth is crowned the King of Scotland. But, Macbeth wasn't done killing, because he remembered how Banquo's son or daughter would soon become King of Scotland, and he killed Banquo, though Banquo's son escaped. Soon after, Banquo appears as a ghost in front of Macbeth, driving him insane, and one of his guests, Macduff, sees the insanity as a reason to stop Macbeth from continuing as King.
Macbeth goes to see the witches, who tell him that no one who is "born of woman" could kill Macbeth, that Macduff is a threat, and that "Birnam Wood comes to Dunsinane Castle". Using the witches' warning of Macduff, he sends soldiers to kill Macduff's family and to take his castle. Macbeth's wife eventually kills herself from guilt of killing King Duncan, and Macbeth is driven even more insane, though he still feels out of reach of harm. But, Macduff brings an army to kill Macbeth, carrying Birnam Wood tree branches for protection. Macbeth and Macduff begin to fight, while Macduff explains that he was "untimely ripped" from his mother, so he wasn't actually "born of woman", and then he cuts Macbeth's head off.
Malcolm, the son of King Duncan, becomes the new King of Scotland, and Banquo's escaped son Fleance becomes King after Malcolm- so all of the witches' prophecies are fulfilled.

My class Reflection on Shakespeare.

I have heard of Romeo and Juliet. Honestly, I think it's a great story
because Shakespeare proves that there aren't always happy endings.
Romeo and Juliet proves a lot of life lessons like, if you love
someone, it shouldn't matter what your parents or anyone say; you're
feelings matter too. Shakespeare also shows you that nothing can break
love, and if you're doing what's right, it shouldn't matter what the
consequences are. But personally, I think that Shakespeare could have
showed you that even if you lost somebody, you have to stay strong.
You can't just kill yourself to be with them. People would miss you
also. Maybe God made that person leave your life to find someone
better. You never really know. You especially can't know if you commit
suicide. Over all, Romeo and Juliet was alright.

Lyrics

Chorus
Sometimes what you mean is not exactly what you say
That’s figurative language, using words in different ways
Personification, alliteration, assonance, hyperbole
Onomatopoeia, metaphor, and simile

Verse I
When Sally seems to sit somewhere separate from Sonia,
Or Caleb calls Chris ‘cause he’s coming to California
It’s called alliteration: that’s what occurs
When you got the same sound at the start of every word
But when you’ve got a vowel sound that keeps sounding the same
That’s a figure called assonance, yeah, that’s its name
It’s what I’m trying to define by providing this example
But I cannot deny that assonance can be a handful

Chorus

Verse II
A simile is something that you use to compare
Two unrelated things with an element that’s shared
My mind is like an ocean; it’s as smooth as jazz
But it’s only a simile if it uses “like” or “as”
A metaphor is similar, but watch out!
Be careful ’cause you’ve got to leave “like” and “as” out
My mind is an ocean; my words are a river,
So keep your ears open as I continue to deliver

Chorus

Verse III
Now if the sun’s smiling down, or the boat hugged the shore
That’s personification, nothing less, nothing more
But with a buzz or a ding or a hiss or a roar
That’s onomatopoeia that we’re using for sure
Hyperbole: man, that’s like a million times harder!
Take something true, then exaggerate it way farther
Now you’ve heard this song from beginning to the finish
Now you’ve got some tools to draw your literary image

Heat Transfer

Heat Transfer #2

"How to toast bread!" When a piece of bread is put in a toaster the wires inside the toaster glow red hot on either side of the bread.
How does the heat energy get to the bread?
Is it by conduction?
No, the heat energy cannot conduct through the air to the bread because air is a very bad conductor.
Is it by convection?
No, hardly any of the heat energy could have travelled to the bread by convection, as the hot air particles would rise out of the toaster.
The heat energy must have reached the toast some other way. It travelled as radiated heat. This heat energy movement is sometimes called heat waves, but strictly speaking, it is infrared radiation.
Hot objects radiate heat to their colder surroundings. The weird thing is that the surface colour of an object makes a difference.
Black and dull surfaces emit (give out) and absorb radiation well.
White and shiny surfaces do not emit radiation well and reflect radiation instead of absorbing it.
